Socompa Volcano

Located on the edge of the Antofagasta Region, in the Puna de Atacama, the Socopa Volcano, at 6,051 meters above sea level, represents a great challenge for mountaineers who love high peaks. Like most of the mountains in the area, this volcano was visited by the Incas. Proof of this are the archaeological remains found in various parts of the volcano.
