Lauca National Park

This National Park is one of the region's most incredible attractions and is located at an altitude of 4,000 meters above sea level. Must-see places include Lake Chungará and, for the more adventurous, volcanoes like Parinacota and Pomerape. While visiting the park, you'll be able to see llamas and vicuñas, as well as a wide variety of birds, including flamingos. And, if you're lucky, you'll also be able to see vizcachas, a type of rodent very adept at these altitudes.
