It is one of the best-known mountains in the Coastal Range. It is located a short distance from Santiago, making it easily accessible. Its height of 2,222 meters makes it a spectacular viewpoint of the Santiago Valley and its highest peaks, including Aconcagua, the highest peak in the Andes. Its name comes from the oak trees found on its slopes.
