Antofagasta Region, Calama Commune
This town, located at 2,500 meters above sea level, 40 kilometers from the city of Calama and in the Loa River Valley (the longest in Chile), is famous for its "Pukará" (fortress), a 12th-century construction attributed to the Atacameño people. But we can also find well-preserved petroglyphs. And all of this amidst nature that feels like a true oasis in the middle of the desert!
